Promotional pens with your logo: a buying guide

Updated 19 October 2026

A pen is the most-used promotional item there is. It is cheap enough to give to everyone, useful enough to be kept, and it carries your name into meetings, counters and classrooms. Choosing the right one comes down to a few decisions.

Plastic pens or metal pens?

**Plastic pens** are what most companies give away in quantity: at seminars, bank counters, trade fairs, in welcome kits and through sales teams. They come in many colours and shapes, and the logo is printed on the barrel or the clip.

**Metal pens** feel heavier and look more formal. They suit client gifts, conference kits for senior delegates and executive gift sets, and the logo is usually laser engraved, which never wears off.

A simple rule: plastic for reach, metal for relationships.

How the logo goes on

  • **Screen printing** — one or two colours on the barrel; economical for large runs.
  • **UV or digital printing** — full colour, for logos with gradients or many colours.
  • **Laser engraving** — on metal pens; the logo is cut into the finish and lasts as long as the pen.

Each product page lists the printing methods that suit that pen. Keep the logo simple: the printing area on a pen barrel is small, and a short name or a clean logo reads better than a long address.

Quantities and price per pen

Most of our pens start at a minimum order of 2,000 pieces, and the price per pen drops as the quantity rises — each product page shows the price for every quantity band, so you can see what an extra thousand pens costs before you ask. GST is extra.

If 2,000 is more than you need, look at pen stands or desk items, which start lower, or combine pens with other items in a conference and event giveaway order.

Where promotional pens work well

  • **Events and seminars:** one pen per delegate in the kit, plus a box at the registration desk.
  • **Counters:** banks, clinics, showrooms and service centres, where customers fill in forms.
  • **Sales and medical representatives:** pens handed out on every visit keep the brand in front of the buyer.
  • **Schools and coaching institutes:** practical, and used daily.
  • **Dealer networks:** a box of pens with each dealer's monthly order.

Before you order

1. Choose two or three pens and compare their price at the quantity you need.

2. Send your logo in good quality — vector files (AI, CDR, PDF or SVG) print sharpest.

3. Approve the design. Our studio sends the pen with your logo in place before anything is printed, after a small design & approval charge of ₹250, adjusted in your bill.

Most pens show about 15 days to make once the design is approved, and we deliver across India to the address you give. The photos on the site show each pen with a past customer's branding — your logo is printed in the same place.
